Additional content. Great podcast, some serious issues.
And Good luck trying to find associated content on their web site. Example, Twitchell, Oct 2023, they refer to finding the 20-page SK document on their site. Um, Where? New subject: if you’re going to use remote/telephone interviews please use better quality equipment. Nothing worse than trying to figure out what people are saying. Lots of poor quality tinny, ECHO-Tunnel remote conversations. Then having a LOUD advertisement blow out your earballs. New Subject: Re: Robert Wone. Ugh. This one was 4 episodes too long. Horrific crime. Put all three of them in jail for life. Period. We know something is wrong with these guys. Until one of them cracks and tells the truth, all of them in the clinker now. This is a human being who was a guest in their home for a simple overnighter. That the FBI has allowed you to spend 8 episodes speculating? That is the real crime. Underhill, Part 3, OMG the first ten+ minutes is filled with weird speculation that goes on and on, beyond bizarre.

Way Better than The Prosecutors
More detailed analysis and discussion and no reading from a script or notes, unlike The Prosecutors. Also, unlike The Prosecutors, it doesn’t come with the behind-the-scenes Trump bootlicking baggage and the suppression of voting rights and abortion and the paranoid ramblings of a hack writer about gun rights and how evil the left is. I couldn’t continue to listen to people who pretend to be kind and good but are closeted Christian Nationalists who basically hate most people who aren’t like them and aren’t honest about that fact to their listeners. Conservative is fine; Republican, I can deal with. Far right fascism, I cannot. Eff those turds. Eff The Prosecutors and their nonsense. Go The Consult! Well worth the switch.

Love the perspectives from each profiler and the way the cases are covered. Even though it’s still new, it’s a well done podcast.

Objective and interesting
I appreciate that this is a professional and objective podcast without dramatization. Just the facts and analysis. I love it! It’s so interesting to hear everyone’s thoughts on the profile of the perpetrators, and when they say things I think, “I wouldn’t have thought of that, but it makes so much sense!” The Robert Wone series was very well done—I hope he can get justice. I found this podcast through The Prosecutors. Keep up the good work, Julia and gang. :)

i wish...
... i could love this podcast more, but i couldn't. i could not love it more! it's extremely interesting to follow the psychological dissection of offender behavior by brilliant, experienced people.

Intriguing
A deep dive podcast on true crime. A very cerebral, fact based analysis of cases. Can’t get enough. They leave no stone in turned when examining cases. Great job Consult. My new favorite!

Love this podcast!
I’m a state prosecutor, former police officer. I’ve been practicing law for 23 yrs. Half on the defense side, half on the prosecution side. My secret desire to be a profiler never happened, but I live it vicariously through The Consult. Keep up the good work!

The Consult has quickly risen to the top of my true crime podcast list. The hosts are extremely knowledgeable (they are, in fact, retired FBI profilers). Any true crime podcast listener would love this podcast. Would recommend to anyone! Thank you to the Prosecutors (another great podcast) who recommended this podcast!

Great fact based information!

A True Gem of a Pod!
This podcast is a true gem! I find each episode so insightful and I really trust the hosts because of their long term experiences in the field. They truly care for the victims and want to assist other agencies with their questions. The recent episodes with Ed Dentzel however, were so incredibly cringy due to his inflated ego, that I had to stop listening. I can’t wait for the next episodes, sans Ed!!

Excellent podcast- thorough, insightful & informative
Do yourself a favour and settle in to give this pod a listen.
‘Insightful’ doesn’t really do it justice.
A fascinating glimpse of what goes on in the BAU - and the significance of a myriad details and factors in a crime scene, the victim and what we might conclude about a perpetrator from those details.
I feel like I’m sat in the room with people who are really good at what they do, know eachother well and have done this before too many times to count thrash through (sometimes granular details eg specific word choice in a note left by a perpetrator ).
A grown up podcast. No sensationalism. Mutual respect & professionalism. Intelligent analysis. Zero hyperbole or bathos.
And don’t forget you the wonderful voice and ACCENT of Julia herself!

Great, minus most recent episode format
This is an exceptional podcast with a winning, predictable panel analysis format. I found the recent interview with Ed Dentzel to be patience-testing and meandering, so I hope they return quickly to the usual episode content and structure. It’s why I listen to this podcast.

Bedford
Just listened to the Bo Bedford episode. Sounds like a waste of time and resources to me. One less drug dealing perophile sounds like a good thing. Seems like a better use of energy would be working on recent crimes that actually matter.

Great angle
Really interesting and different take in the true crime genre. It's compelling to listen to the analysis- you can put together all of the different skills the speakers are using to create their profile. (Taking physical, psychological, and social circumstances in combination). You feel like you are in the room. I want more!

Just what I was looking for!
The Consult has a great host and easy to follow story flow, highly recommend!
I’ve been interested in the behavioral sciences since I was a teen. Having read all of legendary FBI profiler John Douglas” books I was looking for content like The Consult that would delve deeper into the behavior of the perpetrators. Im so glad I found this show, it was recommended by another great podcast, The Prosecutors.

Real substance true crime
They teach profiling ideas as they describe each case. Respectfully done while giving all the details. I wish Bob made more succinct commentary. That said, Susan and Bob work well off of each other, there’s an added interest in how their partnership affects and helps their communication. That, and the unique perspective and personality of Julia, keep it compelling.

THE BEST TRUE CRIME PODCAST OUT THERE !!!
If you watched and then rewatched all episodes of Criminal Minds (And rejoiced when Criminal Minds Evolution came out…) this podcast is for you.
An endless dive into some of the most intelligent minds. It feels like you’re right there at the table with them. I am looking forward to many more episodes to come!
